Sustainability Overview

We maintain an Environmental Policy that is supported by our Executive Leadership Team, who have overall responsibility for Peabody’s environmental performance. Our board of directors, and the board’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Committee provide oversight for this policy and supporting functions.

We believe that not only our products, but our people, are key to a better business and a better society. Our Executive Leadership Team have overall responsibility for Peabody’s human capital management program, safety performance, and collaboration in the communities we serve. The board of directors, including through its Compensation Committee, has oversight for these functions.

We operate under a set of governance principles that guide our board and enable operational excellence, focused engagement, and financial strength. These principles cover such issues as board and management roles and responsibilities, board composition and director qualifications, management evaluation and succession, and overall corporate compliance. The board of directors and the board’s Nominating and Governance Committee have oversight of these functions.
