The Peabody Statement on Human Rights outlines our commitment to creating a safe and
healthy work environment where all employees are treated with fairness and respect. Our
policies and practices concerning human rights apply to all employees, visitors and
contractors within our global operations. These standards are supported by Peabody’s
Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, our Vendor Code of Conduct and are aligned with the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Peabody supports global access to affordable and reliable energy and steel while
upholding a strong commitment to human rights. We operate ethically, and expect the same
from our partners, guided by our Code of Business Ethics and Vendor Code of Conduct. We
have controls and training in place to help ensure modern slavery is not taking place
anywhere in our business and supply chains. Peabody encourages and informs employees and
other stakeholders about their ability and obligation to report concerns of misconduct,
including human rights violations. Our Board of Directors oversees investigation
procedures, including a confidential hotline.
